The frequency of sessions depends on your needs and context. Weekly sessions can be helpful if you wish to explore concerns deeply or get through a difficult time. Four to six sessions can help to build new tools or to support a transition. For more long-term work, bi-weekly or monthly sessions may be appropriate.
The therapy hour session is a 50-hour appointment. The fee is in accordance with the BCACC guidelines for individual and couples counselling.
I offer a discount of 10% for pre-paid package of 5 sessions, and a limited number of sliding scale options based on need. Please inquire if this would allow you to pursue counselling together.
If you have extended health benefits, our work together may be covered. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor in BC. Please check with your insurance provider first to see if you are eligible. Please note that I do not take insurance directly; you must first pay for your services and then be reimbursed.
I am a First Nations Health Authority provider and can provide counselling for Indigenous peoples in BC and am also an approved counsellor through the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia.
